Two Goulburn juniors selected in U15 Brumbies squad

Two Goulburn juniors have been selected in the U15 Brumbies squad for the State championships to be played in July.

Both sons of former Dirty Reds, De Wet Brits (son of Christo) and Toby Klem (son of Matt) played their primary school rugby in Goulburn’s “Fizzy Reds” competition from U6 – U12s.

Toby went on to play with Goulburn juniors in the U13s and U14s and is now playing with Wests following Goulburn’s inability to form an U15s team this year.

De Wet moved to Daramalan in U13s and has stayed playing his rugby there since.

Both players have been regular selections in representative teams in the past. This marks the third time De Wet has been selected in a junior Brumbies squad and Toby has previously worn the South Coast Monaro colours.

ACT junior representative honours were shelved last year because of the COVID crisis, and both boys are now champing at the bit to make up for lost time.

The Goulburn Rugby Club congratulates both boys on this honour and looks forward to watching their stellar rugby careers continue into the future.
