This weekend marked the end of the men’s home and away season, and the firsts and seconds returned from Queanbeyan with a win and a loss.
In their last match for the year, reserve grade met their competition leaders and even though it was a bit David and Goliath they defended like Trojans, scored a couple of tries and showed plenty of ticker.
The first-grade Reds scored a win against the White and picked up the minor premiership in so doing. Next weekend they will line up against Tuggeranong Vikings in the major semi-finals with the winner straight through to the grand final and the loser playing the winner of Royals and Queanbeyan Whites.

It’s that time of the year when we get to use the word penultimate as the Fizzy Reds played their second lost competition round of the year.
In a season that has been abbreviated by rain and wet grounds, coaches report a lot of skill acquisition and a lot of fun being had across all age divisions.

Goulburn Rugby 150th Anniversary Reunion
Most of you will know the club turns 150 this year and hopefully most of you will also know by now that we are celebrating this in a big way over Friday October 21 and Saturday October 22.
A fuller story will be posted online shortly but in summary:

Goulburn Rugby Ambrose Golf Day at the Goulburn Golf Club
- Three person Ambrose Golf
- Shotgun start 10.30am
- $180 per team
- Price includes golf fees, egg and bacon roll and two beer tokens
- Auction for cart hire
- All players with GA handicap must use it, social players handicap of 27
